Happy Thursday, Urban Housewives! It’s almost Friday, and I hope you all have some great plans for the weekend coming up. I’m in the midst of planning a vacation, but I haven’t quite decided to where yet! So I’ve been doing quite a bit of research on different corners of the world and the best ways to explore them. Right now, I’m totally focused on different places to take a Caribbean cruise. After lots of internet searching and recommendations and research, here are the top three reasons I’ve been given so far to head to the Caribbean.
Caribbean Cruises: You Can’t Beat the Deals
Cruise deals to the Caribbean seem to be readily available online, which is great for someone like me who doesn’t have a ton of money to spend on a vacation. (I’d like to point out that that doesn’t mean I don’t really need one!) But what’s more, deals on cruises in the Caribbean aren’t just plentiful – they also offer plenty of options and variety. So if you have a specific Caribbean destination in mind or a few different things you’d like to do, there’s likely a cruise that can be tailored to those particular goals. That’s a real relief. Nothing’s worse than planning a vacation and feeling like you’re enduring a marathon of concessions and sacrifices because you can’t get exactly what you want.
Caribbean Cruises: The Weather is Wonderful!
Ok, pretty obvious that most people head to the Caribbean for its unbeatable weather. But what’s really fantastic is that it’s beautiful pretty much all year long! In most areas of the Caribbean, the temperature lows hang in the low 70s, and the highs hit the upper 80s. That’s a pretty small range, ensuring that whether you head to Aruba, the Bahamas or beyond in the frigid cold of winter or the balmy heat of summer, you’re en route to some beautiful tropical weather. Just remember that, because the winter months stay so warm down there, prices tend to be pretty high. Everybody wants to escape the snow and head to warm, sandy beaches. And there’s no better way to do that than on a cruises, where you can enjoy a constant view of the turquoise waters of the tropics!
Caribbean Cruises: Cultural Variety
“Caribbean” tends to get used as a blanket term for certain cultures, cuisines and beyond. But the truth is, the Caribbean boasts a fabulous variety of cultures within the region. As anyone who’s been to Cuba and Aruba will tell you, their customs and cultural traditions are indeed quite different! And there are myriad countries that make up the Caribbean: The British Virgin Islands, Cuba, Costa Rica, Antigua and Barbuda, Trinidad and Tobago, and the Bahamas, just to name a few! Taking a cruise allows you to visit a few of these different countries and get a sense of how they’re unique and special.
